White House chief of staff Ron Klain took a victory lap and credited President Joe Biden with opening up schools ahead of 2022:
I'm old enough to remember when the "crisis" for 2022 was going to be @POTUS' failure to open schools.
"96[%] of public schools have reopened for in-person instruction. And the first week in October saw the smallest number of school closures…."https://t.co/3Dv2laNFbB

First up, nice “goalpost shift” there:
Sly of him to goalpost-shift to 2022. For much of 2021, many schools WERE closed despite what we know about this virus' effect on kids. Also, prez doesn't have much control over local schools; it's the teachers unions that were on their worst behavior for the last 18 months. https://t.co/NPaobp0UVl

And, secondly, we know the White House had nothing to do with this:
But… you guys didn't do this.
If it were up to you, schools would be closed. Parents rose up and told school boards that teacher's unions didn't run things.
That's why schools are open. https://t.co/9IRMrQ2lhD

Most of the country has moved on to asking why the f*** our kids are still masked up:
No, that was last year. This year it's the anti-science, anti-children forced child face covering for 8 hours a day.
Also, as my late father would have said: what happened to the other 4 points? https://t.co/G8csCwY65e

We expect Klain and everyone else in the White House knows voters are mad about it all and that it’s all on Dems:
President doesn't control local schools. Research showed that partisan lean and teacher union strength was the number one factor impacting school closings, not COVID severity. Hard to not pin it on Democrats. https://t.co/ouTK22iIPH

Just look at his approval rating:
Yesterday Biden hit his all time low approval ratings in the Real Clear average with only 43% approval and 52.3% disapproval — a 9.3% spread.
Today his chief of staff is doing a touchdown dance that their efforts to keep kids out of school isn't the primary driver of it. https://t.co/vd8roc70E7 pic.twitter.com/IzOdNtsTOV

No wonder Klain is gaslighting. It’s all he’s got.
