NBC reporter corrects tweet that Rod Rosenstein was 'summoned' to the White House to 'spotted,' because those two words are very similar

Over 2000 retweets, and counting, for this report by NBC’s Hans Nicholds that Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein “was summoned to the WH today, for days after he indicted 12 Russian Intelligence Officers”:

While NPR reporter Carrie Johnson called this just a “regularly scheduled meeting”:

I'm told this was a regularly scheduled meeting that the DAG Rod Rosenstein has at the White House…. https://t.co/IV8LZdobTr

Nichols just issued this update because “summoned” and “spotted” are so similar we can totally understand how he’d confuse the two words that both start with “s”:

Confirmation from the White House:

Per @PressSec: "Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein was at the White House today for routine meetings. He did not meet with the President while he was here."
