Dishonest Rep. Ted Lieu Pushed Fake News About Where the GOP Convention Link Redirects

The serial liar and insanely dishonest Democrat Congressman from California, Ted Lieu, is at it again.

Our story starts with this claim:

New: The website for the Republican convention in Dallas keeps redirecting to the DOJ's landing page for the Epstein files. Something funky is going on: https://t.co/ncmz3YuKxJ pic.twitter.com/sAU0jowUgl

Lieu of course doesn't go out of his way to double check to make sure things are accurate if it's something he wants to be true, so off he went:

I just tried the website and the below description, as of right now, is accurate.

Sort of awesome. https://t.co/AgocQN9ggs

— Ted Lieu (@tedlieu) September 4, 2026

What's not "sort of awesome" is Lieu's knack for helping spread complete BS.

Story updated: Still no word from the RNC, but the website in question does appear to be a troll. The official one is https://t.co/8yIqneWyY2 (appreciate the spot from @ReporterOriana)

Lieu appears to be a troll, too. If Ted says something "is accurate," what he's sharing is inaccurate. Many other TDS leftists are falling for it too.

That's not the correct website. The website for the convention is https://t.co/YmeaS5NFfF
This appears to be a troll website that uses similar words to appear higher on the Google search.

We'd be surprised if Lieu has enough shame to delete his incorrect post but he's not likely to ever acquire that emotion.

However, where this all might have come from is making more sense now:

👀 The official website for the GOP midterm convention is https://t.co/PhgeIUEwGo

I’m not sure who owns https://t.co/Op4jArQN35, but the Lincoln Project, the anti-Trump group, tweeted the link this morning https://t.co/KnkKUHlzdU pic.twitter.com/I0VCbZ7W1U

There it is, and it's not very surprising.
