Earlier this week I wrote about Chuck Schumer's weak attempt to pin the government shutdown on Trump and the Republicans.
As the clock struck midnight and the shutdown began, Schumer's X account posted this:
IT’S MIDNIGHT.
— Chuck Schumer (@SenSchumer) October 1, 2025
That means the Republican shutdown has just begun because they wouldn’t protect Americans’ health care.
We’re going to keep fighting for the American people. pic.twitter.com/w5rxBnYdEn
And by "Americans' health" Schumer really means "illegal aliens" despite all the Dem denials.
The New York Times had a poll around that time that caught the attention of Schumer who had something laughable to say about it. First, here's that poll if you missed it:

Trump adviser Stephen Miller and many others were using that poll to take jabs at Schumer and the Dems, and the Senate Minority Leader didn't appreciate that, so he responded to the poll this way (beverage warning):
🚨BREAKING: Senate Erupts in Laughter At CHUCK SCHUMER As He Accuses Liberal NYT of ANTI-DEMOCRAT BIAS🤣
— Project Constitution (@ProjectConstitu) October 3, 2025
LOL — that’s rich. Chuck Schumer stood on the Senate floor claiming The New York Times is biased against Democrats, and members of both parties busted out laughing. 🤣

Ah yes, the notorious anti-Democrat paper ::checks notes:: The New York Times! But hey, if AOC ends up unseating Schumer before too long at least by getting all those laughs Chuck proved he might have a career in comedy.
Desperation has set in. I find being so blatantly disingenuous disgusting.

The Dems are losing the "messaging war" because their lies are so incredibly obvious.
Who knew Schumer had a sense of humor? https://t.co/FWJsi6Nl04

Right!?
And we haven't heard the last of Schumer's BS as the shutdown his party is responsible for rolls on.
