Whenever possible CBS News proves that they're ready, willing and able to help the Democrats forward a desired narrative.
Recently the media was putting a spin on federal government layoffs via sob stories about those who lost their jobs. Here's just one example:
National park ranger fired from "dream job" on Valentine's Day pens emotional viral letter: "Things are not ok" https://t.co/X0dLYb6lZJ

Were any media tears shed when private sector jobs were being lost? Absolutely not. Those people were advised to "learn to code" or get hired in the "clean energy" industry.
Valentine's Day was covered with the above story, but now we've got St. Patrick's Day rapidly approaching. How could that be made into a Trump-related story clearly designed to create sympathy for certain people in the country illegally?
"Hold our green beer" said CBS News:
Irish, undocumented, and unsure of their future in Trump's America

Sometimes the media tries just a little TOO hard.
Being Irish doesn’t change anything. They go home. https://t.co/QarHeyzF13

Can you imagine the stories if Trump created an exception for Europeans in the U.S. illegally but not for those who came in from South America?

Maybe they could ask Rosie O'Donnell if they could stay at her place.

I can't wait to see what they have in store for Cesar Chavez Day.

Ha! Somebody put that on a St. Patrick's Day t-shirt and give it to Tom Homan!
As usual the CBS story includes a part the Left likes to offer as an excuse for not enforcing immigration laws, which is "without cheap labor from illegals it'll doom the economy!"
Tom, a New York bar owner and legal resident in Manhattan, told CBS News that he has employed many undocumented Irish workers as well as undocumented Central and South American staff in his pub over the years. He says he couldn't operate as a business owner without them.
"I'd say 90% of the restaurants and small businesses in this city would close down if you took away the [undocumented] immigrants," Tom said. "The folks who want to do those jobs are people that don't have clear legal paths into America."
The "living wage" and "fight for $15" libs and media are all of a sudden cool with low wages when it comes to keeping illegal aliens in the U.S. Go figure!
