Back in 2018 the Washington Post and New York Times were awarded Pulitzer prizes for their reporting about Donald Trump colluding with Russia to steal the 2016 election from Hillary Clinton. That alleged collusion culminated in the egregious sin of robbing the 42nd president’s wife — who had also served as Barack Obama’s secretary of state — of her apparent birthright:
Staffs of The New York Times and The Washington Post for national reporting. For deeply sourced, relentlessly reported coverage in the public interest that drastically furthered the nation’s understanding of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and its connections to the Trump campaign, the president-elect’s transition team and his eventual administration. (The New York Times entry, submitted in this category, was moved into contention by the Pulitzer board and then jointly awarded the prize.)
At the time the Washington Post was proud:

The New York Times also spiked the “journalism” ball:

“Reporters” ended up translating to “stenographers for whatever angles the Democrats were pushing to affect a presidential election.”
The release of the Durham report has completely vaporized claims that Trump colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election. It was all an invention of the Hillary campaign with help from Obama, Biden, Comey, Lynch, Brennan and many others at the highest levels of U.S. government.
Not only will the Post and NY Times’ Pulitzer brags not be deleted, but they’ll most likely never even be updated to explain that the stories were bogus.
I'm just here for the posterity.

@PulitzerPrizes Are you going to remove the prize for reporting that has been proven to be false political disinformation? https://t.co/Hi9T5HB7ju

We are just going to go ahead and guess that no, none of these media outlets will show any contrition after accepting Pulitzers for pushing a totally bogus story. Conversely, they never would have been awarded Pulitzers if those same stories were about Democrat candidates — even if those stories were completely factual.
Time to give it back.

Do the right thing. Give your Pulitzer back.

They won a Pulitzer for printing lies. https://t.co/bruLEd8Hcm

This hasn't aged well. Give back the prizes and issue a giant apology to President Trump and the American people. You helped divide us as a nation. It was all lies. https://t.co/VmfYz7v0Ip

What’s worse, there will be zero MSM introspection. “Journalism” is, with rare exceptions, completely dead.
