Earlier this month, President Biden addressed the issue of record-high gas prices by proudly reminding Americans that he’s leading them through an “incredible transition”:
“Here’s the situation. And when it comes to the gas prices, we’re going through an incredible transition that is taking place that, God willing, when it’s over, we’ll be stronger and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over.” https://t.co/V0zNgUSoCK

Because of a number of crises this administration has either directly created or made worse, the only “incredible transition” the White House is noticing is that Biden’s approval remains incredibly low. As a result, they’re reportedly looking for ways to increase domestic output:

Now that inflation and gas prices are the primary issues concerning voters, the Biden administration is again backpedaling from the effects of their own disastrous policies.
The administration’s efforts come as the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline stood at a record $4.60 Wednesday, just as the summer driving season is set to begin. In California, prices are more than $6 a gallon, according to AAA.
But the White House, which has established an interagency “energy markets team” that has been monitoring energy supply and price data for the past several months, has few good options available to tame gasoline prices. Pump prices have sky-rocketing amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine that sent oil futures north of $100 a barrel.
More than 1 million barrels a day of the country’s oil refining capacity — or about 5% overall — has shut since the beginning of the pandemic.
Wow, that didn’t take long:

It sure looks like the Biden administration’s energy “strategy” of tapping the nation’s strategic reserves and advising people struggling to afford gas to just buy electric cars just isn’t cutting it — go figure!

What’s most maddening is that these people have no intention of giving it up no matter how much it hurts working Americans.
The Biden WH is finally recognizing that the “incredible transition” that’s taking place is that Democrats are on track to lose control of Congress. https://t.co/t2OGYC1nfQ

Absolute incompetence from ideologues who should be in the dock. https://t.co/2YfwLD7BE6

And it’s not purely incompetence because Biden and his administration make it clear quite often that much of this misery is by design.
