The debate (and shameless grandstanding) about what to do in the wake of the horrific mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas continues.
Here’s the latest on that story:

Meanwhile, Sen. Cory Booker has a Twitter thread that again shows the Democrats have little to no interest in any proposals to help prevent future tragedies that don’t involve gun-grabbing. More security at schools? No way, according to Booker:
The idea that the solution to this crisis is to "harden our schools" is nothing more than shameful surrender to impotency. Their “solution” is to turn our schools into military bunkers.

It’s strange, but it seems that Dems like Booker have very different views about what will keep people “safe” when it involves themselves:
The same people who turned the Capitol Building into a fortress now don't think your children should be protected. Ask yourself why? https://t.co/MaaPaTU30a

So hardened security
for me but not for thee. https://t.co/uOXOtnuHXN— Matthew D. Dempster (@dempstermd) May 25, 2022
Many in Congress (and other lefty elites) couldn’t make their “priorities” more clear.

Aren’t you the guy who thought “hardening” the Capitol with fencing, more police and the National Guard was warranted after J6?
Why do you think you’re more important than our nations children Senator Booker? https://t.co/I8KXfTymYE

It’s the same thing with the “walls don’t work” public officials who often can be found tucked away behind a wall or fence.
Cory deserves protection but children don’t. https://t.co/HgGBlq8ytQ

The wealthy “defund the police” people also had private security, so it’s par for the course.
