Canadian PM Justin Trudeau spoke to reporters today after three past photos surfaced showing him in blackface and various events. Trudeau did his best to skirt questions about there being more than three photos.
The media have been doing their part to help Trudeau out of a jam by spinning blackface photos he’s now apologizing for as “face-darkened makeup” or using a “conservatives pouncing” angle. CNN’s gone with “darkface”:

It got so bad that even Justin Trudeau let the press know they don’t have to take it so easy on him:
“I appreciate you calling it makeup, but it was blackface.”
