During the Michael Cohen hearing on Wednesday, Rep. Rashida Tlaib accused GOP Rep. Mark Meadows of “a racist act” because he brought Lynne Patton, who worked for the Trump Organization and currently serves as a senior HUD official, as a guest. Tlaib accused Meadows of using Tlaib as a “token,” and the North Carolina congressman demanded an apology (that never came):

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was of course on Tlaib’s side, but what about her constituents? The Washington Post has an article written by one of their political reports examining how the Tlaib’s radical leftist approach going over in her district:
Rep. Tlaib vowed to be a plain-spoken fighter for her district. Her constituents consider whether she’s sending the right message. https://t.co/a9PV0xUwQW

That’s turning out to be a stick poked into a hornet’s nest:

Get in here while it's still fresh. WaPo is getting ratio'd by their own and the salt is just delicious.?? https://t.co/kkiNr8TRqK

The Post is taking some hits for even going there:
I'm sad this is the reaction to Tlaib calling out the racist actions of a Congressman.
I'd like to see the in-depth on the shenanigans of Matt Gaetz, Paul Gosar and the other deplorables of Congress who've said far worse (and inaccurate) than Tlaib's honest call-out. https://t.co/0NXA5cL0HM

Hit take: calling racists on their racism is ALWAYS the right message. https://t.co/HyREhgXvn2

You interviewed 5 of @RashidaTlaib s constituents and wrote she’s not making them happy? How many times has the WaPo written about the problems in her district before she took office?
Mmmm hmmmm

Hey @washingtonpost, @mattgaetz committed a crime this week. Maybe let's focus on that instead of nitpicking @RashidaTlaib's tone for the ten trillionth time. https://t.co/tNpyf0NYKy

She spoke to his actions, not the racist man himself. And the fkkkin t baggers still doing their thing.

It’s only the right message if her constituents are all good with bigotry and racism. If not, then no. https://t.co/HaTo0uKlFs

@washingtonpost – You are better than this? https://t.co/nefZ7GFJbI

MSM never misses a chance to ding those on the left in their ever present attempts to be "balanced". There is no balance with Trump and this GOP. https://t.co/ehFhrVuHg6

No we don’t. Who told you that???
— tJane (@cranbrysauce) March 1, 2019
See how they try to tear you down the minute you speak directly to the issues of race/racism? It’s no coincidence.

Boy, that escalated quickly!
