Amazon announced today that they’ve canceled plans to build a second company headquarters in Long Island City, New York. Amazon’s cancellation of a project that would have brought thousands of jobs came after there was local political opposition from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and others on the Left. Now the media’s noticing that Team AOC has gone radio silent on the issue:
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez is not giving interviews on the Amazon announcement, per her spokesman. He says to keep tabs on her twitter @AOC

No interviews for Ocasio-Cortez on Amazon’s decision to pull out of the NYC HQ2 deal. The one-way street known as Twitter will serve as the communications platform for now: https://t.co/V5UTe24s4p

Very interesting that the loudest political voices in the campaign against Amazon's HQ2 in NY are all silent this morning. @JimmyVanBramer @SenGianaris @AOC Dog that caught the car?

What gives? Shouldn’t Team AOC consider this a “victory”?
Weird. It's a big win for her, no? Why not get on TV and brag about it? https://t.co/gftS5YRfnS

That’s weird. Wasn’t @aoc extremely vocal about how @amazon bringing 25,000 jobs to her district is a bad thing? She should celebrate.

What? No victory lap? https://t.co/lU2E8HnaEA

We’ll have to wait and see how this is spun as a victory for her state, and maybe somehow used as further justification for the Green New Deal.
So suddenly there’s a topic AOChe doesn’t have an opinion on?
