After spending considerable time insisting on an FBI investigation into Christine Blasey Ford’s allegations against Brett Kavanaugh before moving his nomination forward, Democrats finally got what they wanted. However, as Sen. Dick Durbin said this morning, the report wasn’t what they’d hoped for:

Now that the FBI angle has backfired, Durbin went on to explain that Kavanaugh shouldn’t be on the Supreme court for different reasons. Try not to get run over by all this goal post moving:

Out: Allegations of sexual assault need to be investigated!
In: Whatever — we don’t like how he behaved after being accused of sexual assault!
Why? He was attacked personally! He personally defended himself. He was not sitting on the bench listening to a case as an objectional third party. Why do you all make it the same thing? It makes you look desperate. https://t.co/LA5S2aeQu2

Dick Durbin's temperament once led him, on the floor of the Senate, to compare U.S. soldiers to Nazis, Pol Pot, and Soviets in their gulags. https://t.co/1csnYsM9lW

So there is the next attempt at a roadblock….. Temperment.

Good luck with that, Dems.
