Fox News’ Brit Hume has spotted more than enough evidence to help draw one conclusion about what the Dems are hoping to accomplish with all the Kavanaugh theatrics:
This thread, none of its facts disputed, should satisfy any reasonable person that the goal of all this is simple: delay, delay, delay. https://t.co/jwu4Reu8cu
— Brit Hume (@brithume) September 20, 2018
Here’s what Hume’s referencing. Earlier today the Senate Judiciary Republicans, responding to a tweet from Democrat Sen. Whitehouse, spelled out this timeline about what’s happened since the allegation against Brett Kavanaugh contained in the Feinstein letter came to light:
Really? When? Who will locate & interview witnesses? Has @senjudiciary hired independent investigators we don’t know about? When will the witness statements be taken? When will they be shared? Will the minority get to call witnesses, or will the #Republicans hold all the cards? https://t.co/MLQxUgKbAW

Within hours of learning Dr. Ford’s identity from press reports on Sunday Chairman Grassley took swift action making contact w the alleged witnesses. Dems haven’t joined background investigation of Dr. Ford’s allegations. It's our constitutional duty to do investigations. Join us https://t.co/b2ilr4MRzX

Democrats sat on Dr. Ford’s allegations for MONTHS & did nothing. They STILL haven’t turned over the original letter they received from Dr. Ford. Why would Dems sit on allegations for months and then not even participate in the Committee’s investigation?https://t.co/jcNlZcpXn0

On Monday, staff interviewed Judge Kavanaugh under penalty of felony. Democratic staff was invited and could have asked any question of Judge Kavanaugh. They declined to participate.

Staff contacted Mark Judge and obtained a statement under penalty of felony. Staff contacted third person allegedly at party described by Dr. Ford and obtained a statement under penalty of felony. Staff contacted fourth person allegedly at party.

Staff have contacted a schoolmate who claimed on social media this week to have info related to Dr. Ford’s allegations. Committee has not yet heard back.https://t.co/bWw4oGZXjt

The committee invited Dr. Ford for bipartisan interview by Republican and Democratic staff to obtain her testimony and any evidence she considers relevant. First reached out on Monday, but her lawyers haven’t agreed to an interview.
— Senate Judiciary (@senjudiciary) September 20, 2018
Her attorneys say there needs to be an investigation, which is exactly what the committee has been doing all week. And we would love to hear from Dr. Ford. Democratic staff is invited to participate fully every step of the way.

The Dems would just love to drag all this out through the end of the year in the hopes that their expected “blue wave” will help save them. But the Resistance isn’t liking Hume pointing out evidence of the Dems’ delay tactics:
And your side’s goal has always been just to rush, rush, rush.

Yes. Naturally. Remember Garland. And no one wants a Trump stooge on the #SCOTUS, when he is under criminal investigation.

Kinda like the Merrick Garland delay. Nah, not even close you hypocrit. https://t.co/SXeNQgKT5C

You should be comfortable with delay. Remember Merrick Garland's nomination?

Is getting to the bottom of the allegation the goal of the Dems, or retribution for one of Obama’s nominees? It’s hard to tell on some days.
