As Twitchy told you earlier, Bill Maher, on last night’s “Real Time,” said it’s called for Al Franken to return to politics in order to help deal with President Trump. During the same show, Maher claimed that lately the word and concept of socialism has been “slandered,” and guest Jim Carrey, actor and Resistance painter, followed that up this way:

Well isn’t that special?
The dream of socialism: Jim is a waiter making $5 an hour and living in a rat-infested apartment with 12 other people.

So, @JimCarrey and @billmaher WHO are the fortunate people that you two are going to split your hard earned money with?!

There are ways Carrey can show he’s serious about sharing the wealth:
I'll buy this when Jim Carrey starts donating his royalty checks to SAG/AFTRA. https://t.co/KsQ3w9Z4LS

So far it doesn’t appear that Carrey’s very interested in leading by example:
Poor @JimCarrey has a net worth of $150 million thanks to capitalism. He supports "socialism." He's an idiot. https://t.co/7bIwNttW86 https://t.co/AATt48HTnX

“Share the wealth” — just not his.
