President Trump took to Twitter this morning to make these remarks about the terrorist attack in New York City yesterday:
The terrorist came into our country through what is called the "Diversity Visa Lottery Program," a Chuck Schumer beauty. I want merit based.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 1, 2017
We are fighting hard for Merit Based immigration, no more Democrat Lottery Systems. We must get MUCH tougher (and smarter). @foxandfriends

"Senator Chuck Schumer helping to import Europes problems" said Col.Tony Shaffer. We will stop this craziness! @foxandfriends

That’s part of what apparently caused NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio to make this plea to the president:
NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio: "The last thing the President or anyone else should do is politicize this tragedy" https://t.co/EtFHWMKHcw
— New Day (@NewDay) November 1, 2017
Notice that de Blasio said “this” tragedy:
Unless a gun is used. Then politicize the hell out of it.

If the crime fits any part of the Left’s narrative, the NYC mayor has proven he’ll be all over it:
Orlando. San Bernardino. Newtown. How many more cities have to become synonyms for tragedy before @GOP puts U.S. lives before @NRA cash?

As he further politicizes a tragedy on TV a few days before Election Day….The hypocrisy is breathtaking. https://t.co/D1T2OVqImK

@ChrisCuomo & @NYCMayor absent any sense of #irony….#2A https://t.co/3KgXo9RJ2M
