Former US Amb. to Russia Michael McFaul's MSNBC take about Hitler & Putin was so bad Maddow Blog deleted it (and they're backpedaling)

Former U.S. Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul made some comments on the Rachel Maddow show yesterday that received immediate bipartisan blistering. However, for some reason, the Maddow Blog account featured the video for several hours, but eventually the shaming reached such a degree that the tweet was deleted. However, screenshots are forever.

This is what McFaul had to say:

Yikes.

The Maddow Blog account tried to spin the deletion as best they could:

McFaul ended up trying to explain himself and asking for some assistance to learn more:

“I didn’t know what I was talking about” is a fairly refreshing admission from an MSNBC guest, but being incorrect appears to be a requirement to be featured on the cable net.

McFaul also had this reply to Keith Olbermann:

null

In spite of this MSNBC will no doubt continue to feature comments from McFaul because he so often says exactly what they want to hear.

Unfortunately for some cable outlets, being wrong but from the Left is a feature, not a bug.
