NY Times reporter says media should spend time 'thinking about why so many people trust Joe Rogan instead of us'

On Friday we told you about Adam Corolla’s wake-up call for the media, which came after the comedian said he would put Joe Rogan’s batting average on being correct up against CNN’s any day of the week. That was a great point when it comes to any “journalist” types who are wondering why trust in the media remains incredibly low.

With that in mind, New York Times reporter Matthew Rosenberg said the media should take a moment of pause:

Yeah, they should, but does anybody think the majority of people working in the media will actually take any time to do that?

However, introspection and self-awareness don’t seem to be strong suits for many working in media today.

Instead of admitting they were wrong so many in the media simply shift the goalposts and move on, hoping nobody noticed.
