A couple of nights ago, I published a VIP post about Jared Shult, who had a question specifically for conservative Christians: Why are you opposed to free lunches in schools for kids? Talk about a loaded question. Question for all of you liberal Christians out there: Gov. Tim Walz, during his short campaign for vice president, played up the fact that he'd signed into law the Free School Meals for Kids Program. Why should taxpayers pay for a free breakfast and a free lunch for students who can easily afford to pay for it? The estimated cost to the State of Minnesota in 2026 was $306 million, with federal reimbursements covering part of the cost. According to Grok, in the program's first year, school lunch participation rose about 15 percent.
The reason I bring it up again is that Shult popped back up in my timeline on Saturday for some reason.
If you live in Texas and vote for Talarico u are an idiot

Damn I must be dumb as fuck https://t.co/FElWeWd5Sg pic.twitter.com/U1Vz44mMk9

Oh, so he's a Talarico Christian. Or a nonbeliever, which would fit right in with Talarico's church full of nonreligious people whose pastor can't prove that Jesus even existed.
As long as you’re listing out obvious personality traits, don’t forget fake and gay.

Knowing is half the battle.

I detect no lies in this post.

Dude, we've been trying to tell you that for a couple of years now.
— Sean🇺🇲🇺🇲 (@sf_wire480) October 3, 2026
Speaking of what Jesus would do, on Saturday, I ran across this young woman who asked a similar question: If you don't want your tax money going to food stamps, housing, and free lunches, what do you want it to go toward?
So if yall don’t want your tax money going to food stamps, housing, education, healthcare, or free lunch programs.. what exactly DO you want it going towards?
— mitra (@mitrajoy_) October 1, 2026
The Jesus connection:
now why would anyone think that Jesus would be ok with our tax money massacring children in Gaza but be against free school lunches and healthcare
— mitra (@mitrajoy_) October 1, 2026
Her bio reads:
I’m a socialist🤘🏻 free all oppressed people everywhere. decolonize. she/her
Maybe she and Shult should get together. Anyway, what do you want your tax money going toward?
I want my tax money going in my wallet.
— Sixburgh092 (@ronald_tre61101) October 1, 2026
Then leave society if you’re not going to contribute.
— mitra (@mitrajoy_) October 1, 2026
Sweetie there’s an extremely high probability you don’t earn enough money to be a net taxpayer. Don’t talk until you actually pay the IRS
— Steve (@Stevieswings) October 3, 2026
Do YOU contribute?
— Toasty (@toastyJ) October 3, 2026
I am guessing you are not a net taxpayer and instead want your life to be subsidized.
So tell us, Mitra, what exactly do *you* contribute?
— Theophilus Chilton (Scots-Irish Supremacist) 🇺🇲 (@Theo_Chilton) October 3, 2026
Post your last 3 1040’s so we can see how much you contribute.
— Peter Pilot🚁 (@guardpilot) October 3, 2026
Did you get a tax "refund" this year? Then you, ma'am, are the one who isn't contributing.
— Angela.Kay (@DeepSouthProud) October 3, 2026
You don't contribute, yet we're stuck with you for some reason.
— One Post Man (@Oh_Pee_Em) October 3, 2026
Does this mean if you do not contribute to society you should be cast away from it? You do realize that a large portion of people who benefit from these social programs do not contribute, they are actually a net negative on contributing
— michael stewart (@S2artMike) October 3, 2026
Socialists taking money out of other people’s pockets isn’t contributing to society any more than tapeworms stealing nutrients out of your small intestines contributes to human health.
— Gilbert Gumbo (@Gilbert__Gumbo) October 3, 2026
The irony is this is what should be said to the leeches sitting on their obese asses collecting other people's money
— Dena (@nurse_mdt) October 3, 2026
Do you say the same to the people who refuse to work, don't pay taxes and get full goverment benefits? No, no you, don't.
— Frank (@Backthatassupfh) October 3, 2026
Bold statement when you’re literally advocating for those who don’t contribute.
— Bob (@DtrEnix001) October 2, 2026
Society was meant for everyone to mutually contribute towards shared needs, like defense, infrastructure, police and schools. It was not meant for 1/2 of society to pay for everything while the other 1/2 lives off of gov’t assistance
— Realist Guy (@Brewha2009) October 2, 2026
So are you suggesting that all the people who pay no taxes and don’t contribute should leave? Deal
— Kathie (@helpcritics) October 3, 2026
What a backward philosophy that the whole of contributing to society is having your money taken from you at gunpoint mostly to be wasted.
— Brian (@OlDirtyBri) October 1, 2026
As a consumer who is taxed on literally everything, I want my salary to go to me. Not the government. Then when I consume in society, I am taxed. Not just blanket taxed to pay for poorly managed social programs that are littered with fraud and abuse.
— Freeburner713 (@freeburn713) October 2, 2026
I want it back in my pocket to buy food for my family, housing for my family, education and school lunch for my family. I give a significant percentage to charity to help the less fortunate. I’d give more if I had more.
— Ernie Mills the 2nd (@ErnieMillsJr) October 2, 2026
Not the government.
— Zach Moore (@ZachRayMoore) October 1, 2026
I want it going to me and my family so we can provide for ourselves.
I don’t understand why this is so hard
We're guessing everyone who claims she doesn't pay taxes is correct. She sounds like one of those morons who believes Jesus was a socialist. I don't know why people keep bringing Jesus into this.
