Abdul El-Sayed superfan Mehdi Hasan is once again disgusted by the Islamophobia dogging the Michigan Senate candidate. Fox News Politics reported on Sunday that national security and policy experts are raising the alarm that, if elected, El-Sayed could become eligible for access to classified information.
Michigan Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed could become eligible for access to classified information if elected in November.

The issue is drawing scrutiny from national security and policy experts, who point to El-Sayed’s past associations and statements. His campaign disputes the criticism.
What past associations and statements? Glad you asked:
Here's what's been documented: El-Sayed was introduced at a campaign rally by a man who celebrated dead Hezbollah members as "martyrs." He spoke at a mosque opening alongside a cleric who praised Hamas' Oct. 7 attack and downplayed the Holocaust. He enthusiastically accepted an…

Yeah, so?
Disgusting anti-Muslim bigotry and scare-mongering here, even by Fox standards. We would never allow this for a Black or Jewish politician. https://t.co/kRhKwiAvMt

He hangs out with terrorists who hate the United States. Hope this helps.

His father in law is part of a Muslim Brotherhood front group. Give me a break.

Mehdi thinks it's bigotry against Muslims when their ties to organizations that fund terrorism are questioned. Interesting that he thinks if a Jewish or black (or any other) politician had such ties, they wouldn't be scrutinized likewise.

Why did he delete over 100 videos
— Borrski (@Borrski) September 21, 2026
That's because they aren't national security threats

They have every reason to fear monger. Every American person should fear this. And for good reason. And this isn’t simply anti Muslim, it’s anti radical Muslim ideology. So stop lying. We’re not falling for that Taqiyya garbage.

He asked a known terrorist supporter campaign with him, it’s a real concern of Abdul’s decision making. You continue to make it about religion and skin color.
— Acidchicken (@acidchicken55) September 21, 2026
Blame Abdul for asking Hasan Piker for campaigning with and for him.
Legitimate concern based on his comments and circle of friends
— Quickdrawrebel (@QuickdrawRebel) September 21, 2026
When you have obvious connections to the Muslim Brotherhood these questions get asked.
— smargach (@smargach) September 20, 2026
Well, the article is centered on his associations, not his skin color or religion, but as usual you pop up to use skin color and religion as a shield against criticism.
— SharonLark (@SharonLark1988) September 20, 2026
Black is not a religion. Judaism is a religion. Islam is something we're still trying to figure out. Does Islam offer a decent life for non-believers? Does Islam acknowledge political rule outside of Islam? Don't lump Black, Jewish, and Muslim together.
— Cliff Snyder (@sylvester204) September 21, 2026
It's disgusting you and he stand up for Muslim terrorist organizations, you perpetually whiny little bitch.
— JayJay McMaster, CD (@tantrumblue1) September 21, 2026
Mehdi Being muslim is not a race. You are intelligent enough to know that. Also what does black has to do with that. Please keep our name out of your mouth.
— Prophet Kay (@BaiBureh5) September 20, 2026
There are 97 organisations on the US State Department's Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTO) list as of September 2026. Around 60% are Islamic.
— SK Tedeschi (@skedeschi) September 21, 2026
None are Jewish.
None are black.
You have a problem with your religion, that you need to think about pal.
There are kind of million reasons to not trust Muslims .... Especially when it's a matter of US national security....

It's just Fox News being Fox News. Don't let it get to you.
