As Twitchy reported earlier this week, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani said he was suing the Trump administration over its new policy of denying green cards to foreigners who were likely to rely on welfare. "Four million people will unenroll from their healthcare," and "people will die" if the administration follows through on its policy.
Rep. Brandon Gill gave us an update on Saturday and said that 22 Democrat states are now suing the Trump administration over denying green cards to immigrants who are likely to end up on welfare.
Twenty-two Democrat states are currently suing to try and force the Trump admin to hand green cards to foreigners who are dependent on our welfare programs. Give the left power again and they will immediately begin facilitating mass migration once more.

Democrats literally SUING to force American taxpayers to pay for welfare for non-citizens. Campaign issue if there ever was one. https://t.co/FkQyQTWFXL

I was reliably told that illegals get no federal assistance .

The only way Dems know how to fight fraud is to make fraud legal.

Can anyone explain to me why we don't pause or end all immigration to our country?

Many nations require that individuals who want to immigrate must be able to support themselves and not be dependent on the state. Doesn’t seem to be an outlandish idea. 💡

Not just mass migration. No doubt, they'll reactivate all the fraud that's been identified & shut down. I absolutely believe the Dems have been filling their own pockets through kickbacks somewhere along the fraud pipelines. That's why they're so desperate to block investigations

Democrats say welfare for all. Come on in!

WTAF Brandon. I spent hours and thousands of dollars to bring my wife and daughters to the USA legally. I had to sign an affidavit that they would not be a public charge for 10 years or I would have to support them. Two tiered system against those who did things legally.

When my parents applied for a visa in the 80s, they had to show bank records during the visa interview process. When I applied to legalize my husband, I had to prove that I could financially support both of us until he was legally able to work. America is not a piggy bank!

Needing tax payer assistance should be automatic grounds for denial to enter the country

The policy only gives the government the discretion to use welfare benefits in its decision to issue a green card.
When I immigrated in 80s there was no such thing as being on welfare or any governmental support. That’s how it needs to be

This wouldn’t be a problem if our @GOP had done their job & codified President Trump’s EOs. This isn’t on the Republican voters.

A green card is not a right. If you're coming to the U.S. to live off of public benefits, no green card for you.
