As our own fearless leader, Sam J. reported earlier on Monday, Ohio gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton released a new campaign statement after an "armed man" allegedly shoved his way through a crowd toward her at the Canfield Fair.

The cutoff part reads, "Dr. Acton will always stand up to the chaos, hate and vitriol that pits us against one another," said Addie Bullock, Communications Director for the Acton campaign."
As Sam reported, Democrats rushed in to condemn the attack and offer their support to Acton. Rep. Nancy Pelosi called it an attack on our democracy, and Sen. Mark Kelly, of course, brought up his wife's shooting at a campaign event. On Tuesday, Mahoning County Prosecutor Lynn Maro said in court that police had searched the cell phone of 38-year-old suspect Patrick Havas and "found no threats, no ongoing obsession." Havas was also ordered to have no contact with Acton or either of the two people pushed to the ground in the incident.
NBC affiliate WLWT released video of the incident shot by Mike Ray, a Youngstown City Council member, showing the chaos, hate, and vitriol up close.

Political violence is serious and not something you dramatize to score gutter political points.
There must be more video. And we should see it.
Omg you must watch this

This was the “attack” on Amy Acton
It was a massive HOAX
Every. Single. Time.
She’s so desperate that she has to manufacture a fake “attack”

Thanks for proving the entire episode was a giant nothingburger.

You absolute fucking clowns!
Has Channel 5 considered adopting basic standards of fact-checking after amplifying a story without video for an entire week? This lack of fact-checking should get many people fired at a place that cared about its reputation.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 according to the news reports he tried to killer her. Hilarious!

So was it salad dressing again or did Dems stage something more lethal this time, like infused oil or an exotic spice blend? 🤣

Never forget when Rep. Ilhan Omar was sprayed with apple cider vinegar. Her campaign released a statement reading, "She continued with her town hall because she doesn’t let bullies win."
Honestly, I have never seen anything as tense and riveting since the Zapruder film. The horror.

We're thinking maybe the Acton campaign oversold the incident in its press release.
