We know that all members of the Democratic Socialists of America are crazy. The Socialism 2026 conference is this weekend, and one organizer pointed out that COVID-19 masks were required and also apologized for having to show a badge to get in. He assured attendees that the approach to checking badges was "non-carceral" (after all, they're against prisons).
🚨 Socialism 2026 Requires Masking and Explains Its “Non-Carceral” Approach to Checking Badges

Socialism 2026 is still requiring masks as part of what Sean Larson, Haymarket Books’ political education coordinator and a conference organizer, calls a “compassionate and collective… pic.twitter.com/JZT4Ex0V8R
The post continues:
… approach” to keeping attendees from contracting COVID and other illnesses.
And yes, before anyone sees the masks and assumes this is old footage, I assure you this is 2026.
Larson then warns attendees that being asked to show a conference badge at the door may feel “a little bit jarring.” But fear not. The badge checkers have been ideologically processed.
They are part of a “community safety” plan necessary for holding “a large left-wing conference without relying on carceral means.”
Even “hey, did you actually pay to be here?” has to pass through an ideological filter.
Still, young, college-educated kids are all on board with socialism, and propelled New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani into office. Life is dope for socialists. Check out this touching anecdote from a guy wearing a DSA pin on the train in New York.
Just got off the G to Astoria and saw a woman in a Hot Girls for Zohran shirt. I said “dope shirt” pointed at my DSA pin and we fist bumped as I stepped off. Life is dope🦦

The G train doesn’t go to Astoria. Welcome to New York. https://t.co/KWiGdJM7xi

Andrew Zink even got a proposed Community Note:

The G train does not serve Astoria. It terminates at Court Square in Long Island City, Queens.
Zink wasn't giving up on his story, though. He posted his way through it.
The G train never has gone to Astoria pic.twitter.com/Dn5Yk7htoQ

You get off and bike 10 mins
— Andrew Zink 🐙 (@AndrewZink1238) September 5, 2026
Bro, at least take the 30 seconds to look at the subway map when you’re making up your stories.
— BlueSpruceMoose (@BlueSpruceMoose) September 5, 2026
You get off and bike for 5-10 mins and then you’re there. Easy peasy
— Andrew Zink 🐙 (@AndrewZink1238) September 5, 2026
“the G to Astoria” yeah you’re gonna need to be purgеd
— vika (@infernauxx) September 5, 2026
Yes you get off and bike a few mins the rest of the way, that’s it
— Andrew Zink 🐙 (@AndrewZink1238) September 5, 2026
Dope story, dope navigating
— H. Strongs (@HStrongs) September 5, 2026
It was actually! After getting off I had a beautiful 10 mins bike ride the rest of the way. Wouldn’t do it any other way
— Andrew Zink 🐙 (@AndrewZink1238) September 5, 2026
Eventually, Zink got tired of replying to every single post calling him out. Just how hot was his "Hot Girl for Zohran" anyway? That's what I want to know.
None of this happened. Including the G to Astoria 😂
— Meatball Freak (@MeatballFreaks) September 5, 2026
And then you woke up?
— NYMetsRallyBird (@NYMetsRallyBird) September 5, 2026
That’s the coolest story that never happened
— Lisa Says (@LisaPurdue2) September 5, 2026
You tell her you were gay?
— Spectre (@SpectreCap) September 5, 2026
What stop in Astoria as I currently live here?
— DocHolliday (@AngelusHector) September 5, 2026
Then everyone clapped 👏

"Andrew Zink is a New York-based left-wing activist and DSA cadre member who serves as media for State of the Left and participates in grassroots canvassing for progressive candidates across Brooklyn and Queens." And you got paid how much to post this? The G doesn't go there.

It's not even a good anecdote. I searched Google for images of hot girls for Mamdani wearing Hot Girls for Zohran shirts, and the shirts do exist, but most of the photos are literally of men wearing them. There are a few with AI-generated hot women, but you have to search.
He should have taken the bus … it's free now. No, wait, no, it isn't.
