First, let me say it's 9/11, and I'll never forget where I was when I first heard about it.
The 24th anniversary of 9/11 has been overshadowed by the assassination of Turning Point USA founder and father of two, Charlie Kirk, at an event at Utah Valley University. Kirk came into enemy territory to have a good-faith debate about politics and ended up dead. If you're reading this now, you're a VIP member (good for you), so you probably saw Just Mindy's post, "I Should Have Stayed Off of TikTok." TikTok, Bluesky, and Reddit are filled with cretins cheering Kirk's death. If you call a man a Nazi enough, you're going to convince some nut that he's actually a Nazi and deserves to die. I don't care what Jim Acosta or Nicolle Wallace or any of them say: this is on the Left.
I published a post about the seemingly outsized number of educators who were cheering Kirk's murder. As I've said before, we could publish posts all day about ghouls saying horrible things on social media. I've always found it odd the number of crazed teachers who show up on Libs of TikTok. Does the environment of academia turn them into crazed lefties, or are crazed lefties just attracted to the idea of indoctrinating our children when we're not in the room?
Speaking of Libs of TikTok, she posted a follow-up on one of the teachers featured in my piece. Get this … she's supposedly an "Emotional Support Teacher." And she knew Kirk's work so well; she described him as "a racist, xenophobic, transphobic, Islamophobic, sexist, white nationalist mouthpiece who made millions of dollars inciting hatred in the country," and she had absolutely no empathy for someone like that.
UPDATE: @SDoLancaster announced they’re locking down their comments on social media in response to a teacher justifying Charlie’s ass*ssination.

They’re trying to hide from this.
You can peacefully contact them or submit a concern here: https://t.co/ijdrBAq4Vu https://t.co/yyWyM77YQa pic.twitter.com/JZ4ENPTBu7
First, what the hell is an emotional support teacher? He's another one that Libs of TikTok pointed out — she's not a teacher … she's a suicide prevention follow-up coordinator. "Do some self-reflection and interrogation of why you speak up for a white man who spews horrid s**t against every marginalized community." Of course, it's a white woman with green hair; I don't see a septum piercing, though.
How can someone with so little compassion be involved in suicide prevention? How do we trust half the professionals we do if this is how they react to a 31-year-old Christian dad with two little kids being gunned down?
Jazmin Marguia is a suicide prevention coordinator for the Colorado Dept of Health. Here she is justifying the kiIIing of Charlie Kirk.

Your tax dollars pay her salary.

The thing is, you know they think the same way about us. Twitchy is a "conservative rage curator," according to Jonathan Chait. That's us … just white rage all the time.
I didn't know Charlie Kirk, but I'd heard plenty of testimony from people who did know him. I'm glad President Trump addressed his death from the Oval Office. I'm glad Vice President JD Vance is escorting his body home on Air Force Two. As I wrote about on Wednesday, someone astutely noted that Kirk was the "nice version." If leftists want the not-so-nice version, so be it.
