As Twitchy reported over the weekend, the NAACP issued a travel advisory for Florida, warning that it wasn’t safe for black people. It’s especially funny because the chairman of the NAACP’s board of directors lives in Florida.
We’ve heard a lot about what a hellhole Florida is: Just “ask a gay” and they’ll tell you that LGBTQ families are fleeing Florida for their lives. Media Matters’ Ari Dennen just told us it’s literally a statement of fact that her LGBTQ friends are leaving behind their families, homes, jobs, and elderly parents to escape from Gov. Ron DeSantis’ rule.
Democratic activist Aisha C. Mills was a guest of MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace and told how she’d returned from spring break in Florida, but as a lesbian and black person, she doesn’t want to have anything to do with the soon-to-be terrorist state.
Democratic activist @AishaCMills: "I just took my family to spring break in Fla. [despite things] getting to the point where Fla. is about to be a terrorist state to many of us here in America. As a lesbian & a black woman, I don’t want to have anything to do with the place" pic.twitter.com/BNkw2jzJik

The DNC talking points have clearly gone out. The problem is they're gonna sound like idiots given all the images we'll see of people having a blast in Florida this summer.

I can't believe she'd endanger her kids like that. Quick, get CPS on the line!

Nothing like a good family trip to a terrorism state. I remember when my family booked ours to Afghanistan right after 9/11 🤡

But you do, indeed, go to Florida to enjoy the freedom.
So just clam it.

Ok then stay away. Florida will be fine.

Any real journalist would ask for a example of discrimination she faced in her trip, that led to this conclusion. Instead we are being given conclusions first.

We're where we are today because of the extreme left. The extreme left has pulled the D party to an illiberal place with a set of completely indefensible positions. And here's some irony @AishaCMills: as a gay person I want nothing to do with San Fran or CA.

She’s a liar. No one bothered them.

What are they doing to black people in Florida? Oddly, I haven’t seen any news on this.

Florida sucks so bad we just went there on vacation is quite the condemnation of Ron DeSantis.

She hated it so much and was in so much danger that @AishaCMills' even made her profile cover a photo of her family enjoying the beach in Florida. pic.twitter.com/VASGhchTnY

@AishaCMills this dumb shit is precisely why people laugh at you.
No one cares that you're gay. No one cares that you're black. Stop using both of those as a virtual crutch. Florida doesn't want your American hatred anyway so please do stay away

Has anyone else noticed Florida getting an inordinately huge amount of attention on the news? It’s almost as if they fear DeSantis running for president in 2024 so they do everything they can to make Florida sound like a hellhole. Meanwhile, a record number of people are moving to the state, and DeSantis beat his Democrat challenger by 19 points.
