As Twitchy has reported, there have been some strange commemorations of the third anniversary of the terrorist attack on the Nova music festival in Israel that left around 1,200 Israelis dead and 251 in captivity. As Ben Shapiro noted, Mayor Zohran Mamdani wrote 49 words in tribute to the Jews murdered on October 7, followed by a "but" and 141 words on how Israel is responsible for everything. Reuters set up cameras on tripods in the ruins of Gaza City and posted three hours of video of rubble.
Jake Tapper decided to feature Florida Democrat Senate candidate Alexander Vindman (um, not anymore, he's not) advising people to wait a day before giving their opinions on the history of Israel and Palestine.
Witness in Trump’s first impeachment/Democratic Senate candidate in Florida criticizes Mayor Mamdani’s Oct 7 post:

@jaketapper @stephenfhayes Jake, Vindman’s role in the impeachment is completely irrelevant to the topic at hand. Why conflate the two?

@jaketapper The guy who lost has something to say? Nobody cares Jake.

@jaketapper Holy TDS. Can’t post without mentioning the Great Orange One.

@jaketapper What does Trump has to do with this?

There's some fake news going around that a coffee shop in Austin called — no joke — Coffeyeh has marked the anniversary by giving out free lattes to anyone who comes in wearing a keffiyeh and telling them what day it is.
This is absolutely sickening. Coffeyeh, a coffee shop in Cedar Park, Texas, just outside Austin, is giving free lattes on October 7th to anyone who comes in wearing a keffiyeh and can tell them "what day it is." October 7th is the day Hamas and other Palestinian armed groups stormed southern Israel, killed ~1,200 people, and dragged 251 hostages into Gaza. It was the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust. Turning the anniversary of a massacre into a coffee promo is sick. The Islamification of Texas continues.

The post continues:

That post got hit with a Community Note. There's no such promotion going on today. That was from 2025:
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The image showing a promotion is from 2025. There is no promotion this year. From the Coffeyeh Instagram account:
“PUBLIC NOTICE: There is no promotion running at Coffeyeh today. Any posts or claims suggesting otherwise are false and are part of a propaganda campaign.”
But the post from 2025 is real.
🤯 Austin coffee lovers beware - COFFEYEH owners Ziad Bader and Kareem Soufan celebrate the anniversary of 10/7 as a joyous occasion by gifting free lattes to anyone wearing a kaffiyeh on that day. What is WRONG with these people?! https://t.co/NMHjClAnuf

@JaimeeUSA Wears the Hamas logo in his Instagram reel responding to the controversy. How did a terror supporter like this guy ever get a visa? https://t.co/2n8qqzUORG

@JaimeeUSA Good day for that business to close.
— Allnoles (@HMardenborough) October 7, 2026
@JaimeeUSA Vile.
— Zellie McClelland (@zelliedunn) October 7, 2026
@JaimeeUSA Imagine being so vile that you celebrate a day when demonic savages filmed themselves committing their heinous acts against women, men, babies, the elderly. I guess like attracts like & vile attracts vile. This is some sick stuff. 😈

@JaimeeUSA A coffee shop can sell coffee. It cannot launder the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust into customer loyalty. The keffiyeh is not neutral here; the shop’s own logo and the promo make the link explicit. That is celebration of a massacre, not solidarity with civilians.

So people are posting screenshots of the Instagram post from last year, and the coffee shop owners are calling it propaganda. The shop is called Coffeyah, for goodness' sake. The owner puts on his Hamas logo necklace to announce this. Texas, you need to do something about Austin.
