Rolling Stone obtains intel bulletins showing increase in calls for violence if Trump is arrested

This post covers some old ground, as we’ve already written about intelligence sources telling CBS News that there’s been a “significant increase” in threats and violent rhetoric online from domestic violent extremists after former President Donald Trump claimed he will be indicted by a Manhattan grand jury. We’ve also covered Rolling Stone deliberately leaving out the fact that an ABC producer raided by the FBI was raided because they’d found images of child sexual abuse on his computer.

But now we have a scoop from Rolling Stone, which has obtained those intel bulletins warning of a “sharp increase in online threats” if Trump is arrested.

They want another January 6 so badly, but as we reported yesterday, there were more reporters than protesters in Manhattan yesterday.

Jana Winter writes:

The Fusion Center report was particularly concerned with posts by those that claimed violent action was the only possible response to an arrest of Trump. The Fusion and Capitol Police bulletins included several mentions of online posts referencing the Jan. 6 attack and calling for an even more lethal response to a potential Trump arrest.

“In one observed post, an anonymous user indicated that the arrest would result in ‘Jan 6*10 + Guns,’ while another observed post stated, ‘It’s now or never. We need to see the true version of January 6,’ ” the D.C. Fusion Center report says. The post was also included in a U.S. Capitol Police report.

Two things: first, what’s “even more lethal” than the January 6 riots, where the only person killed was a Trump supporter; and second, if there was a sharp increase in threats, why do the bulletins only include “several” mentions of online posts?

Don’t forget that Vice President Kamala Harris promoted a bail fund for rioters on her Twitter feed.

No, seriously, it’s a big scoop!

Thanks for looking out for us, Rolling Stone! We’re not concerned; law enforcement and the National Guard will put down any attempts to recreate January 6.
