On Wednesday night, we did a post on a thread by Rep. Thomas Massie asking why funding for Ukraine was hidden in a bill that averts the shutdown of the government. It wasn’t much — just another $47 billion on top of what we’ve already sent.
The talking points have gone out, and they’re that the Republicans are pro-Putin. They’re anti-democracy here at home, so obviously they don’t support a democracy like Ukraine. We can’t tell you how many tweets there were last night counting the number of Republicans who showed up for Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s address to Congress.
It shouldn’t have to be said, but we’ll say it again: Republicans back the Ukrainian people, but they’d just like an accounting of the $100+ billion that’s already been sent. “Americans are growing very weary of funding this war,” Massie said, reminding us of all of the people back in February and March saying they’d happily pay $10 for a gallon of gas if it would help Ukraine.
Rep. Steven Woodrow has it all figured out: Fox News, which is pro-Putin, has told Republican viewers to hate Ukraine, so they do.
The folks who lied us into 2 decades of war are not peacenicks—Fox News, which is pro Putin, told Rs to hate Ukraine. So they do. There’s no independent thought at work.

We hate the drain on our resources not Ukraine. And certainly not the people of Ukraine. Such simple thinking is unacceptable for a sitting rep.

This is wrong, strawman killer. Those who support Ukraine do so unthinkingly. Except for those who use Ukraine as their piggy bank to launder taxpayer dollars. Which one are you?

When are you enlisting to go fight for Ukraine?
What’s that? You want OTHERS to die for your money laundering scheme?

How about we begin by wondering why they don’t want to audit any of the funds we are throwing away like dust in the wind. Ukraine is one of the most corrupt countries in the world and we are supposed to trust and not verify? How much money did FTX get for you folks?

Lol this coming from the side who’s now advocating for forced applause for a foreign leader. Muh Independent thought 🤡🤡🤡

For real — as we reported earlier, NBC News presidential historian Michael Beschloss is demanding to know exactly why Republicans didn’t applaud Zelenskyy. He wants an audit of Republicans.
Your right, it was Trump that freed a global terrorist (merchant of death) for a two bit pothead that hates America. Bolstering Putins leverage gaining weapons to fight the Ukrainians. While sending billions to a dictator (Zelensky) for laundering. Wait that was Biden. DNC LIES
— Nick W. (@NickjWilson1972) December 22, 2022
Let‘s audit all the money & weapons that have gone to the Ukraine – how much is in reserves, how much has been spent & on what, how much ‘misplaced’, & how much was invested in FTX. Surely you’d want to know this info yourself. To say otherwise would show your naïveté.

You absolute moron.
The natsec establishment that lied us in to war is the same natsec establishment lying to us about the necessity of spending billions to prop up Ukrainian oligarchs.
We learned not to trust and believe them.
Fool us once, etc.
Wake the fuck up.— Greenbrier (@greenbrier_n) December 22, 2022
Independent thought is the entire Democratic Party clapping like seals before handing out another blank check to a foreign leader.
