Stacey Abrams still believes voter suppression cost her the governorship of Georgia, even though there was record turnout at the polls. Georgia has since passed additional “voter suppression” legislation which, of course, led to Major League Baseball pulling the All-Star Game from Atlanta and moving it to a state with voter ID laws and even fewer voting days. Attorney General Merrick Garland said that the Department of Justice would sue Georgia over its new voting laws. In March of 2021, President Joe Biden traveled to Georgia to give a speech on voting reforms (from which Abrams was conspicuously absent) and earned four Pinocchios from Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler.
Despite all of the ruckus, we’re learning that Georgia is seeing record turnout for the next election:
Georgia has seen *record breaking* turnout for early voting.
Latest numbers (per @GaSecofState's office):
-422,565 in person ballots cast
-That's nearly 200% higher than this point in 2018.
-And 150% higher than this point in 2020.Early voting ends Friday. #gapol

I was told there was voter suppression and it was impossible to vote in GA.

— Steve (@sjbILSC) May 17, 2022

That's some serious voter suppression.

@pdoocy may want to ask if Biden regrets calling GA voting laws Jim Crow 2.0 Given this turnout

So the “voter suppression” rhetoric that the @DNC and media have been pushing for years is complete nonsense? Got it.
— Travis Shirkman (@t_shirkman) May 17, 2022
Weird, just a couple of years ago, MSNBC was telling us no one was allowed to vote in GA

But I thought Georgia passed a "voter suppression law." Everyone was screaming about that, no?
— Classical Conservative (@Classical_Con) May 17, 2022
But man they sure caused a fuss about the new voting laws in Georgia last year. Something about being oppressive or something.

What happened to voter suppression? You'd better let Stacey Abrams and Major League Baseball know. The Big Lie = Voter Suppression

We’ll have to check back through the Minister of Truth’s timeline to see what she had to say about these voter suppression laws, because it sounds like a lot of misinformation on the part of the president and the media.
