Remember back when he was testing the waters for a presidential run and Joe Biden put out a video assuring Americans that he’d been lectured on personal space? “Social norms are changing,” he explained. “Politics to me has always been about making connections, but I will be more mindful about respecting personal space in the future.”
As Twitchy reported, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo took the same tack during a press conference Wednesday in which he addressed the multiple accusations of sexual harassment against him. “I now understand that I acted in a way that made people feel uncomfortable,” he said, recalling that his father too used to kiss people as a “usual and customary way of greeting.” Those darn social norms changed right under his nose, too.

First and foremost, let’s talk about zero tolerance.
Back in January 2018, Governor Cuomo was a believer in zero tolerance for sexual harassment in the workplace.

A few months later, about three years ago, Cuomo said that New York was “leading the way forward” and that “this behavior must stop” about sexual harassment.
Yet somehow it took 3 more years for Cuomo to figure it out I guess.

One of the ways that New York had led the way was by “ending once and for all the secrecy and coercive practices that have enabled” sexual harassment.

It’s interesting to see the way he responds to allegations against other people.
During the Kavanaugh saga, Cuomo said that “we believe” “all survivors of sexual harassment.”
Except, of course, his own, in which case “there is simply no truth to these claims.”

He really did rail against workplace sexual harassment once upon a time.

If nothing else, at least Cuomo’s accusers will have more time to bring forward their claims.

His “sweeping new workplace harassment protections” eliminate “the absurd ‘severe and pervasive’ standard of sexual harassment.”
It’s important to remember that these allegations, serious as they are, aren’t the real scandal here. @NYGovCuomo’s decision to send coronavirus patients into nursing homes could’ve led to thousands of deaths.
That he lied about it only makes it worse. This is the main focus.
