Bill Kristol believes that 'Never-Trumpers can help the Biden administration govern successfully'

As Twitchy reported back in October, even Hillary Clinton super-fan Peter Dao said “there’s no better word” to describe the members of the Lincoln Project than “grifters,” and his Democrat followers agreed, saying that “supporting them beyond [the 2020 election] is a hard no.” A lot of people have been asking what the Lincoln Project is going to do now that President Biden is around the corner. Democrats don’t want to be associated with them, and they’ve burned most of their bridges with the Republican Party; Never-Trumper Bill Kristol, who backed Donald Trump alternative Evan McMullin in 2016, has floated the idea of launching a centrist Owl Party. In other words, they have no idea what to do now, as Politico found in its report.

The group’s purpose — raising money — hasn’t changed. But how are they going to do it now? Kristol believes that “Never-Trumpers can help the Biden administration govern successfully.” Tim Miller asks, “Can we find moderate candidates to run, is that the best thing to do? Is the best thing to do to be more helpful to Biden? I don’t think there’s any clear answers right now.”

“The reality is, is there a market for an anti-Trump Republican Party now?” said Lincoln Project member Stuart Stevens. “I would say no.”

Do they realize that helping the Biden administration govern successfully means that a lot of progressive legislation is going to get passed, right?

They’ve already reached out to noted centrist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to see how they can work together. It seems they’re waiting for the Office of the President-Elect to announce their positions in the Obama administration.
