We didn’t watch President-elect Joe Biden’s speech live Monday night after the Electoral College assured his victory, so we weren’t sure how seriously we were to take all the tweets about him coughing all the way through it. Yes, the media reported everything he said, although not much of it was new. But we’re old enough to remember when it was taboo to mention Hillary Clinton’s health, whether she was hacking her way through a campaign speech or being chucked into the back seat of an SUV like a sack of potatoes.
Clinton dismissed her coughing by blaming it on her opponent, saying, “Every time I think of Trump, I get allergic.”
We’re hoping Biden’s in good health, but after watching a clip, yeah, it was a little unsettling.
