As Twitchy just reported, people are suggesting President Trump be jailed for inciting a burglary at Rep. Elijah Cummings’ Baltimore home on Saturday morning, despite the fact that the break-in happened more than three hours before President Trump posted his first tweet about Cummings and his rodent-infested district.
Now MSNBC’s Joy Reid, who’s not a conspiracy theorist but a real journalist, has tipped off her followers, and they’re not buying the story.
Guys… https://t.co/FBSykM61Uv

Better check for microphones. A sophisticated bug sweep would be good.
— Missy Rains (@mrainie24) August 1, 2019
What in the hell?!?
I am about volunteer for a security detail for this man.
— William S. Thompson (@gonzo_mcgee) August 1, 2019
Me too
— Demetrius (@backyardbarbr) August 1, 2019
Elijah is a great guy. And, he doesn't deserve ANY of the disrespect that he is getting.
I would take a bullet for that man.
— William S. Thompson (@gonzo_mcgee) August 1, 2019
Baltimore’s reported nearly 450 shootings so far this year; best not to mention taking a bullet if you live there.
Before Trump's tweets. Unless it was the Trump campaign who did it ala Watergate Break-in.

Wonder if Jared had already left for KSA? Where was Keith Schiller? He's still on the payroll. This is what they do: https://t.co/iNpkDaMAFg
— Dawn Westlake (@dawn_westlake) August 1, 2019
Donald Trump should be charged as the ringleader.
— DamonMPA (@DamonMPA) August 1, 2019
So is this coordinated like the Wikileaks releases.
Trump’s mob friends do something and then Trump gets to say ‘see I was right…’ ??— No One is Above the Law (@noybsk2017) August 1, 2019
Yes, Trump got his mob friends to break into Cummings’ home to set up the tweets he was going to send later that morning.
I'm sure that this is totally a coincidence…
— Kenanator (@KENANATOR) August 1, 2019
Cummings needs to be more worried about what was left in his house & not what was taken…hope they did a sweep of his house and grounds for surveillance equipment….
— Debbie Ralgeiz (@Ralgeiz) August 1, 2019
possibly spy equipment?
— chris brady (@chrisbr64178310) August 1, 2019
Classic mob tactics because Cummings is bringing the heat to the kitchen and Trump along with his kids know what’s coming!!
— Telvin Griffin (@TelvinGriffin) August 1, 2019
Who ordered the break in?
— Andy (@Andyravenclaw13) August 1, 2019
I’d be having the Feds ‘sweep’ the house. Thank God no one was hurt!
— Dori ?? ??? (@DRDriscoll1) August 1, 2019
As if this wasn't Trump's intention.
— Charles Eichholz (@CharlesEichholz) August 1, 2019
Unbelievable. Random? Coincidence? Bulls***!
— It is what it is (@PITT_ALUM) August 1, 2019
These people need to be caught because they're crooks and also so we can find out if someone paid them. This sounds suspicious.
— Sue Faye (@suekrek) August 1, 2019
Yes, a burglary in Baltimore does sound suspicious.
This was expected. Trump gets people killed, hurt, caged, silenced, etc. He is poison, a festering boil.
— ReSISTER?♀️ (@srecobo) August 1, 2019
Who gave them his address? trump attacks the Congressman because he is doing his job and requested government emails that were sent on private computers by Jared and Ivanka and now the Congressman's is broken into. Sounds like someone trying to intimidate an Congressman. trump?
— Dennis Davis (@maintman206) August 1, 2019
Break in was a few hours before Trump tweeted about him. It's just being reported now.
— Brandy (@brandacedawn) August 1, 2019
If your are going to break the law do you warn them in advance? If your that dumb you must be a trumper.
— Dennis Davis (@maintman206) August 1, 2019
Oh good heavens! Prayers to surround him.
Also, Trump needs to be held accountable for how his words are putting lives in danger!!
— Brekke El ??? (@BrekkeWrites) August 1, 2019
.@realDonaldTrump you’re causing this
— IkeFights (@IkeFights) August 1, 2019
Oh ffs.
Trump probably sent his goons.— Snarf (@amy_clue) August 1, 2019
Trumps grubby little fingers (literally) are responsible for this.
— NotSure (@Idiocracy) August 1, 2019
They probably planted something that the police will find…
— Dewey, Cheatem & Howe (@dbiibd) August 1, 2019
Trump's racism has gotten way out of hand. He's going to get someone killed.
— Charles Stark (@CharlesStark3) August 1, 2019
@realDonaldTrump nice work douchebag… ???♀️
— ☆¥★A€E G ¥♠♠ (@AceG32) August 1, 2019
I'm old….and this has a weird Watergate kind of vibe to me.
Could be coincidence since it was in the press that he was on a trip, but feels hinky to me.— car54 (@car5454) August 1, 2019
Watergate 2019?
— Brian Jones (@brjones146) August 1, 2019
Homegrown terrorism strikes again.
— Jen’sSideEye (@ZroFoxGivn) August 1, 2019
You KNOW Trumpanzees are responsible.
— ImpeachTheOrange (@ImpeachDaOrange) August 1, 2019
There are no coincidences.
— Jamielle (@Jamiell22227673) August 1, 2019
Directly related to Moscow Trump!
— #SteelerFanforLife… (@CherylAWilkers3) August 1, 2019
OMG!! They better catch whoever did this. They should also sweep the entire property for bugs and camera plants. Egregious.
— BB160 (@BB160) August 1, 2019
We have descended into hell and have reached the 9th Circle. It will take years to get back to the surface.
— Joe D. (@nyliberal44) August 1, 2019
Someone is going to get hurt – seriously. ?
— Mary Peterman (@lpeterman3) August 1, 2019
Please check home for cameras, bugs, and bombs. This is scary.
— Lisa Adams ?️? (@ladams402) August 1, 2019
Someone should sue the fucking president for inciting this crime!!!
— SailorMoon1066 (@SailorMoon1066) August 1, 2019
More fake news it’s a home he rents out.
— Vic (@vicbikeride) August 1, 2019
seems the break in was BEFORE the tweets??
— Liz Garbus (@lizgarbus) August 1, 2019
Before Trump was tweeting…it’s Baltimore. It happens. Lived here 11 years and had my home broken into twice. Many more attempts.
— Baron Von Bone (@TheBaro26682644) August 1, 2019
Now tweet that it happened before Trump tweets
— julesie (@justjules99) August 1, 2019
That was all part of the plan … Trump was the one employing those time-traveling hackers all along. But don’t question “real” journalists like Joy Reid; they’re a protected class.
