New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo was put on the spot last month during a radio interview when he was asked if he’d endorse New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio for president in 2020. The New York Post reported that Cuomo pretended the line had gone dead: “The governor went silent for about 15 seconds and made a muffling sound, as if static on his phone line had interrupted his interview on WAMC radio.”
