'You're all welcome': Anti-racism strategist Tariq Nasheed loses his blue checkmark

If you’ve been following Twitchy for any amount of time, you’re probably familiar with “anti-racism strategist” Tariq Nasheed, whose apparent strategy is to call everyone who disagrees with him a white supremacist.

For example, he recently outed the Daily Caller as “Tucker Carlson’s fake news, suspected white supremacist propaganda site,” called both Kanye West and Diamond and Silk white supremacists, and reasoned that convicted rapist Bill Cosby was taken down by the “I’m white and I say so” law.

We know that a blue checkmark on Twitter isn’t meant to be an endorsement, but by all means, it certainly looks like one, and it must mean you’ve done something to have your checkmark rescinded. Or @jack is just a white supremacist.

Verification should just be verification … but that little blue checkmark really does look like an endorsement. Louis Farrakhan lost his too for his anti-Semitic posts. It seems to be Twitter’s way of punishing bad behavior without banning someone.

Despite all the Kavanaugh news clogging the pipes, it’s a wonderful day on Twitter.
