'There is alcohol out': Things are sounding awfully shaky at Newsweek; Staffers sent home

It was less than a month ago when Newsweek’s headquarters was paid a visit by police, and now CNN’s Hadas Gold is saying that top editors at the magazine have been sent packing.

We’re a little torn here — obviously, we feel for staffers who have no idea if they still have jobs, but then again, Newsweek has taken such a hard-left turn lately that the name “Newsweek” didn’t even fit anymore. Being sold for a dollar certainly didn’t inspire the editors to shape up and present a more balanced viewpoint.

Oh well.
