Twitchy has already told you about “girthers” — those who question Rear Adm. Ronny Jackson’s proclamation that President Trump weighs 239 lbs. (An NBC News reporter wondered if Trump would agree to a public weigh-in to prove it.)
And then there’s Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank, who isn’t sure he believes anything that Jackson had to say during Tuesday’s presser.
Opinion: Is Trump’s doctor okay? https://t.co/P9O860QQi9
— The Washington Post (@washingtonpost) January 17, 2018
“Jackson has been a well-regarded doctor,” Milbank writes. “But since finding himself in Trump’s orbit, he has adopted the hyperbolic style and excessive flattery of the boss that we see in other, previously respectable members of Trump’s court.”
That’s a little obtuse … is he saying Jackson was lying about Trump’s health, or not?
Rather than rely on the word of the doctor who actually gave President Trump his physical, Milbank preferred instead to consult Bandy X. Lee, the editor of “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump” and assistant psychiatry professor from Yale who has never met him but would like Trump confined and given a psychological evaluation; that is, if it wouldn’t look so much like a violent coup (she despises violence, see).
Hey, look, it’s conservative blogger Jennifer Rubin.
She said the test, though useful for detecting Alzheimer’s and the like, indicates little about “his high functioning, his frontal-lobe functioning, that we’re questioning.” <– THIS https://t.co/t4Y6lExfb7

Milbank’s readers saw no problem with him consulting Lee and blowing off Jackson as a Trump sychophant … or worse.

Trump seems to have that effect on most everyone who comes into contact with him. I understand that military can be ordered to lie for their Commander in Chief. Not entirely sure if it's true, but it would explain why he lied about Trump's height, weight and heart disease. https://t.co/gDMMjElxym

I'm guessing the dear doctor partied on an overseas deployment with a few hookers with leaky bladders and Putin owns those tapes too! https://t.co/MFerjgloxJ

Trump has heart disease
They lied about his weight
They lied about previous scans until called out on it. https://t.co/IkLBQH4oLx— WeThePeople???? (@PrincessBravato) January 17, 2018

This doctor was speaking under orders. The WH likely cited national security. Under orders a Dr is not going score 10 of 30 on a basic test. https://t.co/NegCYRrtFa

The good admiral followed orders and said what he was told to say. We can't have an official diagnosis that the president is incompetent. https://t.co/9mpGeBzCSk

When Dr. Ronny said that if Trump had had a better diet over the last 20 years, he could live to be 200 – – – you don't think that's a bit STRANGE for an M.D. to say??? https://t.co/YQiLMgO37J
— Donna Bamber (@BamberDonna) January 17, 2018
I agree. No one lives to 200 and it was all so over the top. In addition, the Dr. looked to be under DURESS! https://t.co/06XGAK3Y8h

Dr. Ronny Jackson, please blink twice if your family is safe. https://t.co/tr1oODl8n7

He probably goes to bed at night kneeling before a statue of trump and beating off to it while he salutes it! https://t.co/zyx03SUOcN

I expected few details b/c thought navy doc would refuse to mischaracterize the outcome. Good genes? That sounds like mr eugenics himself worked that in. I have to ask why trump would agree to be seen by a ‘deep state’ doc unless he knew there’d be some cooperation? https://t.co/QFc51MU1tD
— LabGeek (@LabGeekGirl) January 18, 2018
This right here is the question of the hour. Because we already know that Trump’s obsession with “incredibly good genes” is a key part of his racist worldview. https://t.co/wOJhAPSJcc
