WAIT: Is this cold snap just weather, or is it part of the climate crisis? Al Gore advises

Anyone else remember just before New Year’s Eve, when President Trump tweeted that parts of the country could use “a little bit of that good old Global Warming”? Twitter went nuts, and journalists, in particular, went out of their way to explain that the cold snap was just weather and certainly didn’t disprove global warming. Here’s CNN’s Chris Cillizza, for one:

So it’s just a cold spell, then? Or not?

Exactly. Now, rather than predict things like the Arctic ice melting and the coasts flooding, “scientists” like Al Gore simply say that climate change makes weather events more unpredictable. Then, when the predictions are completely wrong, they can claim it just proves the volatility of climate change.
