As Twitchy reported, the Montana State House voted to censure trans Democratic Rep. Zooey Zephyr, banning her from the floor for the remainder of the legislative session. Look at her sitting outside the committee from which she’s been banned:
Republicans used a series of procedures to remove every bill from my committees, silencing my constituents beyond what they already voted to do.
My constituents elected me to speak on their behalf—in committee & on the floor—and stopping me from doing so is anti-democratic. pic.twitter.com/DJCn3RUXsE

Did you hear that a Republican was also expelled from the Arizona legislature? No?
Republicans didn’t take kindly to Zephyr saying they’d have blood on their hands if they banned “gender-affirming care” for minors. As Twitchy also reported, the Associated Press just can’t get enough of Zephyr:
A group of conservative GOP lawmakers in Montana deliberately misgendered a transgender colleague in demanding that she be censored for language she used while speaking against a bill that would ban gender-affirming medical care for children. https://t.co/QQ9ZD6GhOO

First, they misgendered her. Then they wouldn't let her speak.

“First they misgendered her. Then they wouldn’t let her speak” — it sounds like the pitch for a Lifetime movie.
But wait, there’s more:
Rep. Zooey Zephyr began her first day in legislative exile with renewed confidence that Republican lawmakers’ unprecedented vote to silence her only amplified her message.
“There are many more eyes on Montana now,” Zephyr said in an interview with @AP. https://t.co/JcM6Dx7Yq4

As Zaid Jilani pointed out, what difference is there between these tweets and press releases put out by Zephyr’s office?
The AP decided to go back to the well one more time Saturday:
The banishment of transgender lawmaker Zooey Zephyr from Montana's House floor has showcased the rising power of hardline conservatives who are leveraging divisive social issues to gain influence in 11 statehouses. https://t.co/OteBU8K0wK

Behold the horror:
In Montana, they led the charge to enshrine a ban on gender-affirming care for minors that the governor signed Friday. In South Carolina, they slowed the budget process this year with failed amendments to punish universities with diversity programs. And in Wyoming, they tried to make certain library books “crimes of obscenity.”
Across the country with varying levels of success, the groups have followed the playbook of the House Freedom Caucus, an eight-year old alliance of GOP conservatives determined to pull Republicans in the U.S. Congress to the right.
After debuting on the second anniversary of the January 6 siege on the U.S. Capitol, the Montana Freedom Caucus’ 21 members over the past two weeks successfully pushed GOP leaders to punish Zephyr, a Democrat, following her statements and actions in support of the transgender community.
And?
No, it spotlights the rise of trans-identified males being celebrated by corporate media for acting like attention hungry sociopaths and being shocked when rules apply to them.

Hard left (woke) is handing them the win. They're not breaking a sweat gaining that power.

Ah man they don't allow hissy fits on the house floor anymore?

Or you could correctly describe this situation as a person with a narrative refusing to conduct business in accordance with the rules of their chamber. But you won't.

You are such disgusting propaganda. How dare you lie. This man broke the rules and should be punished.

He should of followed the rules. Actions have consequences.

Your headline is 180% wrong. It's up to him to follow the rules and represent his constituents.

If I turned this news article in to my Journalism 101 prof, it would have been handed back with lots of red marks and a failing grade. I guess they don’t do the whole “keep your opinions out of the story” thing anymore.

The AP has really fallen for Zephyr and apparently is all-in on teen girls getting double mastectomies. But it’s conservatives who are “leveraging divisive social issues.”
