Sen. John Fetterman to return to the Senate the week of April 17

We don’t fault Sen. John Fetterman for seeking treatment for depression. Atlantic staff writer Jennifer Senior empathized, writing that Fetterman “has basically been forced to contend with the effects of a severe brain trauma while working an absurdly demanding job in one of the most polarized and toxic political climates the country has ever known.” Is it wrong to think that pushing a man with severe trauma through a demanding political campaign and then seating him in the Senate was a bad idea?

Last week, someone posted a proof-of-life photo of Fetterman and his wife Gisele, and some experts explained that it’s the effects of different lenses that made the senator look like a completely different person:

The Hill is reporting that Fetterman will return to the Senate the week of April 17:

We were told that Fetterman was introducing legislation from the hospital.

Honestly, we feel for the guy, but the Senate is not going to be good for his recovery. He should take as much time as he needs.
