We get that a Donald Trump/Ron DeSantis feud would provide some juicy material for the mainstream media. Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump weren’t pleased with Gov. DeSantis’ statement on Trump’s possible arrest by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, but in case people tuned out early, DeSantis said it was “a manufactured circus by some Soros DA” who’s “trying to do a political spectacle. He’s trying to virtue signal for his base.”
When we first saw this tweet, we honestly thought the poster was a #ForeverTrumper who was upset with DeSantis for not coming down harder in defense of Trump, but Steve Peoples is a chief political reporter for the Associated Press … which is still referring to the controversial (and nonexistent) “Don’t Say Gay” law in its tweets.
Ron DeSantis signs books in Tallahassee. I asked him if he thinks Donald Trump is being treated fairly by prosecutors. Dead silence. pic.twitter.com/AyDTPbjTYz

You randomly yelled at a person and got no response…. you god damn hero https://t.co/3mwQzo3WoW

Thank you for reconfirming just how awful the Associated Press has become. Your entire industry is failing and nobody watches. Listens reads anything you say anymore. Good riddance.

You’re just supposed to tell him your name so he can give you the autograph.

This is why people hate reporters.

I'm sorry he refuses to play the game you want him to play.

Wow total pwnage
— Slamuel (@WhoreCrucks) March 23, 2023
How many times does he need to answer this question?
— Anmarie (@AnmarieInMn) March 23, 2023
Here's a thought, why don't you ask him something about him, instead of asking him about Trump? Being as it's a book signing and not an interview, and all.
— Theresa Sickles (@tsickles321) March 23, 2023
Maybe ask him where you can find a job so you can go get a real one.

Thanks for the update.

Hard-hitting "journalism."

My sincere condolences on his not wanting to play with you.
— Comrade O’Brien (@HipsterDoofus64) March 23, 2023
His stellar communications team has already made it clear he’s not going to play the media’s game. Start reporting truthfully and fairly and he’ll respond to your questions.
Steve, have YOU and your colleagues treated Trump fairly? That's what I thought.
