We sure have heard a lot about the mass shooting that killed five at gay nightclub Club Q in Colorado Springs. We’ve heard less about the shooter, whose lawyer claims in non-binary, and more about the “atmosphere” created by right-wing media that probably inspired the shooting, or at least provided an enabling environment. NBC News’ Brandy Zadrozny and Ben Collins brought up Libs of TikTok and Tucker Carlson. MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle said “the far-right is … demoralizing any ‘other’ community that is not white, heterosexual, and straight.” The story turned out to be right-wing media.
There was an even deadlier mass shooting at a Walmart in Virginia that left six people dead, and a lot of people are saying this is the first they’ve heard of it. ABC News reports:
[Briana] Tyler, an employee at the Walmart on Sam’s Circle in Chesapeake, Virginia, said she and her coworkers were gathered in the break room at the start of their shifts at around 10 p.m. local time, discussing which section of the store each employee would be working in that night.
“As soon as my team said, ‘All right, we have a light night tonight,’ I looked up and my manager just opened the door and he just opened fire,” Tyler recalled during an interview with ABC News on Wednesday. “He wasn’t aiming at anybody specifically. He just literally started shooting throughout the entire break room and I watched multiple people just drop down to the floor, whether they were trying to duck for cover or they were hit.”
Tyler said the gunman looked “directly at” her and fired but “luckily missed” her head by “an inch or two.”
The suspect, an overnight team lead, then shot himself. We’re not hearing any reports of an AR-15 being used in the shooting.
Deceased gunman, Andre Bing, killed six & injured six others at a Walmart where he worked in Chesapeake, Va. Police have not said anything about a motive of the mass shooting last night, which was even deadlier than the Colorado Springs gay club shooting. https://t.co/tagwGgnE3D

That Walmart mass-shooting sure went away fast. Why is that?

As we showed above, all they’re talking about on the news is right-wing media and its anti-LGBTQ messages.
Hmmm… I wonder?

Whatever happened to the shooting in the gay bar? Was the shooter gay?
— Rosalyn Becker (@rosalynbecker77) November 23, 2022
Shooter identifies has non binary, record of mental health issues and traumatic childhood. Not making excuses, just saying what has come out so far.

Here’s the Walmart shooter.
The story will now disappear from the corporate media. pic.twitter.com/NeAevf3eT1

We will take issue with Posobiec’s claim that the story went away quickly; it’s being covered, but it’s the Club Q story that all of the media pundits are still talking about.
