We guess NBC News had dystopia beat reporter Ben Collins in-house for this segment so they didn’t have to do a Zoom call with David French. We’re not sure why NBC News is just now getting around to all-ages drag shows, but then again, CBS News just confirmed the Hunter Biden laptop story after two years. This editor asks all the time: What is the compulsion to bring together drag queens and little children? We’ve seen public schools bus their first graders to the library to partake in Drag Queen Story Hour. Why can’t drag shows take place in adult clubs as they always have? What’s the purpose here?
Thankfully, Collins spells it out: “A child might go to meet a drag queen, just to show them they’re human beings and people.” Although then he makes the mistake of saying they read Dr. Seuss, who’s been canceled for “orientalism, anti-Blackness and White supremacy.” Actually, they read children’s books like “The Hips on the Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish” by Lil Miss Hot Mess. Publishers Weekly says “though the words are evanescent, illustrations subtly convey a sturdier message about inclusion. As the queens progress down city streets that hint at a San Francisco locale, drab gray-tone buildings transform into rainbow-hued masterpieces in their wake, showing that the group’s presence adds vibrancy and appeal to communities. Ages 4–8.”
The far-right, though; they think they’re hypersexual events, probably from the footage they’ve seen on the Libs of TikTok Twitter feed. And isn’t drag “hypersexual” by nature? And any comment on the dildo ring toss at the family-friendly pride festival?

And that’s the thing: As we just reported, Collins’ colleague at NBC News, Brandy Zadrozny, said it’s absolutely false that she blamed Libs of TikTok for the Club Q shooting in Colorado Springs. Libs just creates the environment of hate in which these shootings happen, by posting videos of drag queens doing sexually explicit dances in front of kids. This is like when that self-professed white nationalist when on a shooting rampage in Buffalo, and Rolling Stone’s Talia Lavin brought up … Abigail Shrier? Or when that “Star Trek” actor said the so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill would lead to the next Pulse nightclub shooting.
It goes like this: Give minors gender-affirming surgery because if you don’t they’ll commit suicide. And don’t complain about all-ages drag shows, because those kids are just learning that drag queens are human beings just like them. Just go along with it and no one else will be killed.
