Biden economic adviser Brian Deese brought out to change the definition of 'recession' for the press

As Twitchy reported Monday, the Biden administration decided its best bet to avoid saying the country is in a recession is to change the definition of recession. Fed Secretary Janet Yellen went on “Meet the Press” to declare that two negative quarters of economic growth is “not the technical definition of a recession.” Biden economic adviser Brian Deese went on CNN to declare that “in terms of the technical definition,” two negative quarters of growth is not a recession.

That’s the Biden administration’s stance ahead of Thursday’s GDP numbers, and just to make sure the White House Press Corps got it right, Deese made a guest appearance in the White House briefing room to declare again that it’s “not the definition that economists have traditionally relied on.”

If it weren’t, they wouldn’t have to work so hard to deny it.

The media? Here’s MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle asking Deese how to change Americans’ perceptions, “because we are in an economic recovery.”
