The New York Times writes about Rep. Liz Cheney's 'crossover appeal' with Democrats

As we learned a couple of weeks ago, January 6 select committee member Rep. Liz Cheney’s campaign has been sending mail to Wyoming Democrats with instructions on how to switch parties to vote for her in the state’s August primary. We’ll see how many Democrats switch parties for a day just to vote for Cheney. She’s told ABC that the most important issue to voters isn’t inflation or gas prices, but protecting the nation from Donald Trump. The New York Times has a piece out this weekend talking about Cheney’s Democratic megadonors and her “crossover appeal.”

We heard as long ago as March that “those close to” Cheney and Rep. Adam Kinzinger expect one or both of them to mount a presidential campaign in 2024.
