Democratic strategist notes that 'sometimes mass shooters wear robes'

Earlier Thursday, we did a post compiling some of the most extreme reactions from blue-checks to the Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision that New York State’s “proper cause” requirement was unconstitutional. We thought this hot take from Democratic strategist Adam Parkhomenko deserved a second look as well. Last we checked with Parkhomenko, he was tweeting about how Republicans “want to force you to have kids so they have something to shoot at,” because the Uvlade mass shooter was obviously a Republican and probably an NRA member too. If that’s the strategy the Democrats want to take going into the 2022 midterms, so be it.

Parkhomenko seems to think that allowing New Yorkers to arm themselves outside their homes for self-defense is going to result in a rash of mass shootings, because as all gun owners know, if you’re carrying a gun, you’re going to fire it — it’s just a matter of when. And by striking down New York’s proper cause requirement, the Supreme Court justices are now mass shooters themselves, even if they don’t carry guns.

That deep, man.

It’s astounding how many people thought that was a brilliant tweet. We guess all of the people who still believe that Brett Kavanaugh was a gang rapist in high school also believe he’s a mass shooter too.
