Wajahat Ali says private Islamic schools and Jewish schools should open up all over Maine

As Twitchy reported Tuesday, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that Maine’s tuition assistance program must cover religious schools. A lot of liberals, including Justice Sonia Sotomayor, were concerned that the Supreme Court was continuing “to dismantle the wall of separation between church and state that the Framers fought to build.”

Daily Beast columnist Wajahat Ali thought he had conservatives who supported the decision backed into a corner: What if the Church of Satan decided to open a school in Maine? Hey, if the Church of Satan wants to open up a school and parents want to send their kids there, great.

Ali doubled down and suggested that private Islamic and Jewish schools open up all over Maine. That would show ’em.

What’s wrong with Jewish and Islamic schools and why would the people of Maine be so upset over them?

Was the idea of Muslims moving to Maine to school their kids supposed to be scary or something?
