MNSBC's Katy Tur warns there are 'massive, life and globe-altering consequences' for 'letting people run wild' on Twitter

We’re actually getting a little exhausted by all of the doomsday takes on Elon Musk offering to buy Twitter. Target Toothbrush Guy says it could lead to World War III and the destruction of the planet. Journalism professor Jeff Jarvis says “today on Twitter feels like the last evening in a Berlin nightclub at the twilight of Weimar Germany.” Salon’s Matthew Rozsa wrote a piece on how “it will be a death blow to the free world” if Donald Trump’s account is reinstated.

Katy Tur was on MSNBC today to talk about the story and warned that if Musk just lets people run wild on Twitter, there would be “massive, live and globe-altering consequences.”

Yeah, we can’t have people running wild spreading lies.

Like suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop story the month before the election? We imagine that could have had some pretty major consequences if the New York Post were allowed to “just run wild” with the story.
