Dr. Anthony Fauci was caught on a hot mic earlier this week calling Republican Sen. Roger Marshall a “moron.” And why not? Senate Republicans assault him with verbal abuse all the time — Sen. Rand Paul in particular. This doctor doesn’t know how Fauci, an Italian from Brooklyn, resists calling “his guy” to have some people taken care of.
Fauci is an Italian from Brooklyn. I promise you he knows a guy. How he resists calling said guy after all this unwarranted verbal abuse is beyond me.

Doctor, I have come down with a severe case of cringe after reading this tweet

This is a horrible thing to say. Does your employer know you traffic in offensive stereotypes?

I encourage you to reconsider your messaging here.
“(Name) is an (ethnicity/country of origin) from (location). I promise you he knows a guy. How he resists calling said guy after all this unwarranted verbal abuse is beyond me.”
It’s completely inappropriate.

Always nice to see casual ethnic stereotyping. Maybe next Dr. Porter will tell us a colorful story about other people from New York knowing how to get good deals on things.
— TheAveragePM (@AveragePm) January 13, 2022
Breaking: Emily Porter MD reports that Fauci is connected with violent mobsters.
— Jack (@oaaselect) January 13, 2022
Well this isn't very PC.
— Dadx2 (@Dave99117584) January 12, 2022
Yikes. I winced. What a crass thing to say.
— Independent (@centristswin) January 12, 2022
I also like cartoonish stereotypes. (Mama Mia! 🍝)
— Hernan Cortes (@CyberPunkCortes) January 13, 2022
Way to perpetuate ethnic stereotypes…

He’s a 5 decade bureaucrat. The guys he knows are Feds.
— That Goddamned Finkelstein Shit Kid (@Supreme____Beef) January 13, 2022
Geez. That’s a stereotype comment that I don’t much appreciate. What kind of person are you?
— Carolyn (@D1sTrAcTiOnBeKy) January 13, 2022
Reading his own emails back to him is "verbal abuse?"

Weirdly, we Italians don’t often go out of our way to engage in organized physical violence, regardless of what the TV tells you. https://t.co/ND9jIngFOO
— Emily Zanotti (@emzanotti) January 13, 2022
Totally normal thing to say
— Ross B (@SaucyRoss72) January 13, 2022
Ha ha ha! I get it! It's funny because Italians are organized criminals who regularly use intimidation and violence to achieve their ends! Hilarious!
— Michael (@_zrepm) January 13, 2022
That’s awfully stereotypical
— donns (@mdonnnns) January 13, 2022
Honestly I'm surprised he can do entire interview on TV without having to stop and eat some rigatoni or gabagool
— Completely Unfettered (@jerkstore159) January 13, 2022
*ring* *ring* it'sa me, Fauci. One gabagool please
— Balsam B'Grant Heat (@SFxander) January 13, 2022
Fauci is an Italian from Brooklyn. I promise you has an overpowering urge to jump up and announce "It's-a me, Tony! I love spaghetti and-a meatball! I need-a mushroom for my pizza, better go to the Mushroom Kingdom and get-a some!" and then disappear into a pipe to fight Koopas https://t.co/FV3jOWwkCA
— John Tabin (@johntabin) January 13, 2022
This is legitimately racist.
