Steve Contorno is a political editor for the Tampa Bay Times and he thinks that everyone should know that the Florida Republican Party is going to be holding a voter registration drive at a gun show this weekend … just one week after the mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton.

And? None of those people shot anyone

Maybe we missed Contorno’s report on Elizabeth Warren fundraising off the two shootings Monday?
Republicans won’t act—because gun lobbyists are signing their checks. We must take back the Senate in 2020.
Will you chip in to help elect Democrats to the Senate? Let’s build a grassroots movement to beat back the gun lobby and end gun violence. https://t.co/1DWpKHJivA

Would they be happier if the GOP used the shootings in Dayton as fundraising material like one party did with El Paso?
— AccountingDrone (@AccountingDrone) August 8, 2019
a week after Democrat candidates started fundraising over the victims
— Neil Grimsley (@Neilgrimsley) August 8, 2019
Dems have been fundraising off of it since day one.
— David Paul (@HarleyDavid66) August 8, 2019
He forgets how quickly the DEMS were fundraising afterwards. #AllDemsAreFrauds
— DemsAreFrauds (@DemsAreFrauds) August 8, 2019
You’ll be really mad when you find out how many of the Dem presidential candidates are fundraising off of the #ElPasoShooting and #DaytonShooting tragedies. #KamalaHarris #CoryBooker #ElizabethWarren

I thought the Democratic Party was all about getting out the vote?
— Nic ひ✘ (@TheNicSwanson) August 8, 2019
don't we like people voting? I thought we liked people voting
— ramen ?? (@mmmRamen) August 8, 2019
And? With all the talk of gun control, now is the perfect time to make sure gun owners are registered to vote.

Steve Contoro is virtue signaling..
P.S. If you need to signal your virtue, you really have no virtue.— ils (@india_stallsmit) August 8, 2019
You thought Castro doxxing ordinary retiree donors was the end of it? It's only the beginning of the left's intimidation game to drive right wingers out of the political sphere.
— Vaiv (@Vaiv71738794) August 8, 2019
Wrong place to do it, all of them will be already registered to vote.
— a79c182RG4me (@ARg4me) August 8, 2019
The vast majority of gun owners are law abiding citizens exercising their constitutional rights. Voter registration at a gun show is nothing to freak out over, Steve.
— KSLawWolf (@KSLawWolf) August 8, 2019
I'm not picking up the vibe you're laying down. Mind explaining to us rubes why we should be distressed by private citizens participating in the civic process of registering to vote?
— Mostly Plorable (@mbeauchamp3) August 8, 2019
In all due respect… so what!?
— cr (@propatriots) August 8, 2019
Your right, its silly. Everyone at the gun show is already registered, they value their rights.
— Illiterate Texan ? (@illiteratetexan) August 8, 2019
This is not not newsworthy. At all. pic.twitter.com/hEq0jlyteJ

Breaking: One week after mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton, law-abiding gun owners who’ve never shot anyone attend gun show. Alert the Pulitzer committee.
