President Trump spoke earlier today in the wake of mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton and made some proposals for what he believes could be done to help thwart future attacks. However, Elizabeth Warren apparently didn’t want to consider them because within minutes she was tweeting this in order to help raise money for Senate Democrats:
Republicans won’t act—because gun lobbyists are signing their checks. We must take back the Senate in 2020.
Will you chip in to help elect Democrats to the Senate? Let’s build a grassroots movement to beat back the gun lobby and end gun violence. https://t.co/1DWpKHJivA

It’s never too soon for some to fundraise after a tragedy.
If the GOP brought up gun laws you wouldn't vote for them anyway because none of you want to give Trump one thing so you can complain he didn't do anything in 2020. Phony.

How sick of an individual do you need to be when a mass tragedy is the best thing that ever happened to your campaign? https://t.co/d6Rdqa5Ihr

And many also brought up these points:
You have some nerve, considering the shooter in Dayton was an avid fan of yours. Haven’t seen you condemn him yet.

One of these animals was a big fan of yours. Care to comment? https://t.co/OcVL9OCut2

Have you disavowed your Dayton fanboy killer? https://t.co/0UgSjdDzU6

Will you come out and denounce the Dayton shooter who was listening to the rhetoric you have been pushing?
— jim (@jimb516) August 5, 2019
Report: Social media footprint suggests the Dayton shooter — unlike the right-wing white supremacist El Paso shooter who adopted Trumpian tropes/language — was a socialist, a Satanist, an Elizabeth Warren fan, and…an opponent of gun violence. https://t.co/4FcNHZYhQA

On social media, the suspect’s biography started to emerge. On his Twitter page, reviewed by Heavy, he described himself as “he/him / anime fan / metalhead / leftist / i’m going to hell and i’m not coming back.” He wrote on Twitter that he would happily vote for Democrat Elizabeth Warren, praised Satan, was upset about the 2016 presidential election results, and added, “I want socialism, and i’ll not wait for the idiots to finally come round to understanding.” You can read a roundup of his tweets – which also dealt with Parkland, Florida and 9/11 – here and later in this article.
The mainstream media seems in no rush to ask Warren for her thoughts on these reports. Go figure.
